I'm a local rapper so I will end this review with my own rap which annihilates anything Webbie has or ever will make. I really hope somebody can save the desolated wasteland of the hip hop industry. I hate the rappers that just sell out and pump out horrible tracks really fast to get rich and don't care about the music. This is the opposite of what rap was supposed to be. A person who doesnt rap could easily outdo this album that's how bad it is. Meaning you're not an idiotic teenager who thinks theyre by blasting this in their car who cant see the absolute lack of talent. If you are a true rap fan you will not buy this crap because you actually can figure out that it sucks. What ever happened to the days of Ready To Die, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, and The Don Killuminati The 7 day theory just to name a few. He has absolutely nothing to say except bling hoes and how savage his life is (sarcasm). All he says every song is the same damn thing. His lyrics are of a 3rd grader who learned a ton of profanities early on. Not that it matters but its worth mentioning hes ugly as hell. All of this is with a horrible flow and a voice. All he does is rhyme swears with the same swear, and when the words rhyme it's so basic. In the big picture it's very sad that the great music of hip hop has sunk this low. Though there are guest artists aplenty (Mannie Fresh, B.G., and others) the mixture of sparse beats and Webbie's singleminded, insistent rapping style are what made SAVAGE LIFE a success and a representative snapshot of the crunk sound circa 2005. SAVAGE LIFE's subject matter will be familiar to anyone who's listened to Trillville or Lil Jon such perennial themes as women, street life, and the pursuit of the gangsta lifestyle dominate the album. Instead he keeps his flow straightforward and his wordplay concise. The complex verbal dance of some rappers is not for Webbie, though. The young rapper's debut album is a mixture of crunk-style production, gangsta themes, and Dirty South attitude. His latest album Savage Life 4 showcases a rapper with prodigious talent. In the latter guise, Trill ushers Webbie onto the national stage with SAVAGE LIFE. List of all Webbie tour dates, concerts, support acts, reviews and venue info.
